Scissor Sisters to create a score for the movie

Scissor Sisters announced that they would create a soundtrack for upcoming Fraggle Rock movie. The film is based on the live action puppet television series from 80's that was telling about adventures of humanoid creatures called fraggles.

Official announcement by Jim Henson Company – that is producing the movie – says: "We can make their music an integral part of the film. We can make it as important and as emotionally effective as the film-making itself".

It is not the first time Scissor Sisters' frontman Jake Shears is writing a soundtrack. Earlier singer has worked on the musical entitled Tales Of The City. It is based on the eponymous series of novels by American writer Armistead Maupin that portray the everyday life in San Francisco in 1970's.

Scissor Sisters released their last studio effort Night Work in 2010.
