Rumors about The Stone Roses reunion circulate again
Oct 10, 2011The Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown confirmed reports about the band's upcoming reunion, says British press. Rumors emerged last week saying that Brown and others are set to reform for the series of comeback shows. It was also said that upcoming reunion is set to mark 15th anniversary since The Stone Roses' split up.
Recently The Sun newspaper claimed that the source close to Ian Brown has shown them a letter written by the singer himself. It said: "We are going to rule the world again. It's happening".
Nobody of The Stone Roses members responded to the rumors yet.
At the same time, The Stone Roses long-time drummer Alan Wren (who left the band in 1995) claimed that he has heard nothing about this.
The Stone Roses formed in 1983 and released only two albums – The Stone Roses (1989) and Second Coming (1994). They split-up in 1996 with no explanation given.
