Rumors about Jimi Hendrix movie denied

Jimi Hendrix estate denied reports that the movie about legendary guitarist is set to be filmed this year. Earlier there were rumors that OutKast's Andre 3000 is already appointed for the main role. However, according to official statement, there are no plans for such biopic at all.

"Experience Hendrix, LLC, the family-owned company entrusted with safeguarding the legacy of Jimi Hendrix and administrator of the Jimi Hendrix music and publishing catalog has made it known many times in the past that no such film, were it to include original music or copyrights created by Jimi Hendrix, is in plans or can be undertaken without our full participation", says the statement.

Jimi Hendrix has died in 1970 aged 27.
