Robert Plant feels tired of rock music

Sep 09, 2010
Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant claimed that he has become "disconnected" from hard rock music and prefer other genres now. According to the singer, he came to such conclusion after visiting the concert by Them Crooked Vultures, which features his former bandmate, bassist John Paul Jones.

"My ears bled for two days. I feel so far away from heavy rock now. It's quite odd, how mine and John's paths seem to have crossed over – we've sort of gone into each others' worlds a bit", said Plant.

Last year Robert Plant refused to join Led Zeppelin for the world tour.

Robert Plant's last studio effort, 2007's album Raising Sand, was recorded in collaboration with country singer Alison Krauss and featured country and folk motives instead of Led Zeppelin's hard rock.

Robert Plant is set to release new album Band Of Joy this month.
