Robbie Williams released charity single

Mar 03, 2010
Robbie Williams has released new single named Morning Sun – the official song of this year’s Sport Relief show. This event, organized by Comic Relief fund, brings together celebrities from sport and entertainment to raise money for different charities. All proceeds from the sales of Morning Sun will also be donated to the charity.

Robbie Williams himself claimed he was proud that his song has been chosen by Comic Relief. «I am very happy to donate my time to help Sport Relief and I think my co-writers are feeling the same», said he.

Ironically, Morning Sun became the first Sport Relief song which failed to appear inside the Top-40 of the UK singles sales chart. The song entered at 60 position. Last year, Leona Lewis’ Better In Time became second, while McFly's Don't Stop Me Now topped the chart in 2006.

This week UK singles sales chart was topped by Tinie Tempah’s track Pass Out, followed by Rihanna’s Rude Boy.

Morning Sun is the new single from Robbie Williams’ latest album Reality Killed The Video Star.
