Robbie Williams explained why he canceled MTV Europe Music Awards performance

Robbie Williams explained why he has decided to cancel his appearance at the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 ceremony. Singer’s spokesman claimed that the decision was made due to «cuts in show’s budget». According to his words, ex-Take That member was very disappointed by organizers decision and refused to «cut costs» for his performance.

«He really wanted to perform. It is a real shame MTV could not make this happen», said spokesman.

The ceremony is set to take place on November 5 in Berlin. It will feature such artists as U2, Jay-Z, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Beyonce and Leona Lewis.

Robbie Williams’ new album Reality Killed The Video Star will hit the stores on November 9.
