NEWS20.11.2009 The Beatles' Ringo Starr announced that his former bandmate Paul McCartney has taken part in recording of his new album. Sir Paul is featured on the two tracks: he performed lead single Walk With Me together with Ringo Starr and also played bass guitar on the track Peace Dream.
Ringo Starr said: «I played him this track and Paul said: «Give me the headphones». He went to the mic and he just invented that part where he follows on my vocal. That was all Paul McCartney, and there could be nothing better. He's a genius». The album, titled Y Not, is set to be released in January and also features collaborations with American guitarist Ben Harper and English soul singer Joss Stone. It will be Ringo’s 15th solo album – his previous record, Liverpool 8, was released in 2008.
