Red Hot Chili Peppers announced Neil Young tribute performance
Nov 11, 2009Red Hot Chili Peppers revealed that they would play at the upcoming Neil Young tribute concert. The show will take place on January 29 and feature such artists as Wilco, Norah Jones and others.
Neil Young recently has been honored with the Person Of The Year Award by MusiCares organization. Earlier this award was given Stevie Wonder, Brian Wilson and others.
Red Hot Chili Peppers revealed that they have already started the work on their new album. According to drummer Chad Smith, yet-untitled record should be released in autumn 2010. «We're gonna write for a while, it usually takes us a while. Release date? Some time next year, maybe this time next year», said he.
The band’s last to date studio record Stadium Arcadium hit the stores in 2006.
