Radiohead and Kasabian are main favorites for 2012 Mercury Prize

British bookmakers have already begun to name favorites for next year's Mercury Prize ceremony – despite the fact that previous one was held last week. William Hill thinks that the most likely artists to win the prize are Kasabian with their upcoming album Velociraptor! – the odds on them are 7/1.

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallaher with his debut solo record Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds got 8/1. Radiohead are considered to have equal chances for Mercury Prize, although they have not announced an album yet.

The list published by William Hill also features Florence And The Machine, Coldplay, Elbow and several other performers.

PJ Harvey has won this year's Mercury Prize for her last to date album Let England Shake. She has beaten such opponents as Adele (with 21), Tinie Tempah (with Disc-Overy), Elbow (with Build A Rocket Boys!) and others.
