Q Awards winners announced

Q Awards 2009 ceremony was held on October 25 in London. Muse have triumphed in the main Best Act In The World category, wining a competition with Coldplay, Kings Of Leon and Oasis.

Arctic Monkeys were named the Best Live Act. Best Album award was given to Kasabian for West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, while Lily Allen's single The Fear has triumphed in Best Track category.

Kanye West's protege Mr Hudson was successful in Best Breakthrough nomination. White Lies were named Best New Act, and Led Zeppelin’s singer Robet Plant was honored with Outstanding Contribution award.

Q Awards are the UK's annual music awards run by the music magazine Q, which is known as one of Britain's biggest music awards. It is also known for the usual rowdy behavior of celebrity participants. However, there were no accidents this year.
