Producer of Michael album replied to Quincy Jones' criticism

Teddy Riley, who produced three songs on the recently released Michael album, has hit back at criticism from Quincy Jones. According to his words, he saw nothing wrong in project that has been set to "keep Michael Jackson's legacy alive".

Previous month Quincy Jones – producer of a number of Michael Jackson's albums, such as Off The Wall and Thriller – has slammed musicians who worked on Michael, saying that there was "no way it should be coming out".

Teddy Riley replied: "Look at his age. He can barely hear you talk. How the hell could he hear Michael? Anybody who says it is not Jackson on the album, I do have a comeback, because you're not right. It is about keeping Michael Jackson's legacy alive. That's just the bottom line".

Last week Nirvana's member and Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl revealed that he has taken part in the work on Michael. He contributed drums for the track (I Can't Make It) Another Day, which features guitar by another rock star, Lenny Kravitz.

The album was also produced by Michael Jackson's brother Jackie and Rodney Jerkins, who is famous for his work with such artists as Britney Spears, Spice Girls, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, Janet Jackson, Beyonce and others. Jerkins also produced Michael Jackson's album Invincible that hit the stores in 2001.
