Portishead's Adrian Utley and Goldfrapp's Will Gregory will work on the new soundtrack for the The Passion Of Joan Of Arc movie. Shot in 1928 by director Carl Theador Dreyer, this is a silent film based on the trial records of Joan of Arc. It is considered to be one of the most notable movies ever.

The film will be screened at Colston Hall in Bristol on May 7. Utley and Gregory were announced to play their compositions during the film.

Goldfrapp have recently contributed a song for the soundtrack of Nowhere Boy movie, the film which tells about John Lennon's childhood and adolescence. The band is currently working on its fifth studio album. The record, titled Head First, is set to hit the stores on March 22.

Portishead are also working on the new album. Upcoming record will become their fourth studio effort. Dummy and Portishead were released before the band’s split up in 1999, while Third hit the stores after Portishead’s reunion in April 2008.
