Police is almost sure that Michael Jackson’s death was a homicide
Jul 07, 2009A source in police told TMZ that the investigation currently focuses on the singer's former physician Dr Conrad Murray as on the main suspect, because there was an evidence that Dr Murray injected Michael Jackson with Propofol (also called Dirpivan, this medicine is used to help induce a patient into unconsciousness before surgery).
Several weeks ago chief William Bratton, who is leading the investigation, has officially stated that police still considers that Michael Jackson's death could be a murder rather than an accident. «Are we dealing with a homicide or are we dealing with accidental overdose... I don't have that information. Our conclusions are going to be very dependent on the toxicology reports that are due to come back», explained he.
Michael Jackson has died from a heart attack on June 25. The King of Pop was rushed to the hospital in Los Angeles, where team of doctors spent about an hour trying to resuscitate him.
There were reports that Michael Jackson may have overdosed on prescription medication. There also were claims that Jackson's doctor had injected the singer with Demerol, a drug similar to morphine, shortly before his death. However, they are still not approved by police.
