Plan B said his new album would be "controversial"

Plan B revealed details about his third studio effort The Ballad Of Belmarsh. According to British rapper, it will be closer to his debut album Who Needs Action When You Got Words than to his second record The Defamation Of Strickland Banks. For instance, he promised that it would feature some "controversial" songs.

"My first record was the kind of record that, when your parents went past, they'd go: "Turn that off, give it to me, it's going in the bin". But with the second, the same parents were like: "What a talented guy". With the third album those parents are going to go straight back", claimed Plan B.

At the same time, rapper promised that The Ballad Of Belmarsh would continue the story of his fictional alter-ego Strickland Banks that has been started by The Defamation Of Strickland Banks.

"It's an underground hip-hop album about Strickland Banks being banged up in Belmarsh. I won't be him singing any more, I'll be rapping about him, commenting on the story", claimed he.

Who Needs Actions When You Got Words hit the stores in 2006, while The Defamation Of Strickland Banks was released in 2010. The Ballad Of Belmarsh is set to come out later this year.
