Paul McCartney wants to write soundtracks for videogames

Jan 01, 2012
Sir Paul McCartney claimed that he would like to start writing music for video games. Ex-The Beatles member, who is set to release new album Kisses On The Bottom this week, thinks that it is a good way to appeal to young audience. He also points that video games have better sales than music CDs.

"It's a fascinating market. A new computer game sells so much better than a new CD these days. Young people will hear my music for the first time in a game", claimed Sir Paul.

Earlier Paul McCartney claimed that Kisses On The Bottom will feature only two original compositions – the tracklist will mostly feature songs that were the source of inspiration for him during his career.

"When I kind of got into songwriting, I realised how well structured these songs were and I think I took a lot of my lessons from them", claimed he.

McCartney's last to date album Memory Almost Full was released in 2007.
