Paul McCartney to make new album

May 05, 2011
Sir Paul McCartney claimed that he has decided to make a covers album. According to ex-The Beatles member, he will choose the songs from "pre rock" times. "They're just songs I admire. I'm trying to steer away from the obvious ones", said he.

"It's my dad's style of music. I've wanted to do that kind of thing forever, since The Beatles days", added Paul McCartney.

The album is set to be recorded in collaboration with jazz singer Diana Krall.

Paul McCartney is set to reissue two debut solo efforts – McCartney and McCartney II, released in 1970 and 1980 accordingly. Both will come out in June and feature the list of additional tracks.

Both albums will be remastered by the same team that worked on last year's reissue of The Beatles' catalogue.
