Paul McCartney criticized backing tapes users

Jan 01, 2012
Sir Paul McCartney said that he can not really respect artists who use backing tapes during their shows. Ex-The Beatles singer also claimed that he never relies on them during his gigs – and the mistakes he makes sometimes prove that it is true.

"We are glad at the end we take a bow and there is nobody hidden under the stage either which I hear some naughty people do… sorry, I won't say names. When we make mistakes playing live, we always now turn it and say: "Tell you what – this proves we are live". We do not cheat", said McCartney.

Total earnings of Sir Paul McCartney for 2011 equal nearly $45.5 million, reports The Sun. It is almost twice more comparing to the last year, when former The Beatles member has got $26 million. Most of this cash came through Paul McCartney's new album Ocean's Kingdom and extensive world tour.

A source close to McCartney told The Sun: "He must have picked up a few lucky coins in the past couple of years. Not only has he got married to a lovely lady, he's also had a hugely successful world tour and brought out another album".

Recently Paul McCartney has posted new song online. Titled My Valentine, the track was recorded in collaboration with Eric Clapton. It is the first single from upcoming album by ex-The Beatles member.
