Patti Smith to release best hits compilation

Patti Smith announced plans to release an album featuring her best hits. Titled Outside Society, the compilation will hit the stores in September. All in all it will include 18 songs, representing singer's whole career – starting from 1975's debut effort Horses to her most recent 2007's effort Twelve.

The compilation will also include Patti Smith's cover on Nirvana's legendary hit Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Deluxe edition of Outside Society is also set to hit the stores. It will include several additional tracks and a brier overview of each song written by Patti Smith herself.
