Noel Gallagher considers Oasis to be the last "traditional rock'n'roll band"

Noel Gallagher claimed that he considers Oasis to be the last "traditional rock'n'roll band" – at least the last one that has achieved huge commercial success. At the same time, he pointed that it is not the fault of the modern musicians that they cannot walk Oasis' way.

"We came along before the Internet so, if you wanted to see us, you had to be there. It makes me feel like a righteous old man. We don't live in an era where indie rock bands sell 60 million albums. Oasis were the last great, traditional rock'n'roll band", said he.

Earlier this month Noel Gallagher claimed that he may reunite with his bandmates in the distant future. Noel expressed hope that "time will heal" current conflict between him and his brother Liam. However, Gallagher also said that it definitely will not happen soon.

"We never hung out together outside of the band, ever. Now, of course, at some point I'm going to have to sit in a room with Liam again. Hopefully time will heal some of these wounds. But if you're asking me if it's going to be this Christmas - not a chance", claimed he.

Noel Gallagher is currently working on his debut solo album Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. The effort is set to be released in October by his own record label Sour Mash Records.
