Noel Gallagher announced new single

Former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher announced plans to release new EP to mark upcoming Record Store Day, which is celebrated on April 21. Titled Songs From The Great White North, it will feature four songs, written for his debut solo effort Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, but not included in it.

One of the songs is Shoot A Hole Into The Sun, recorded in collaboration with British psychedelic rock band Amorphous Androgynous.

Record Store Day is internationally celebrated on third Saturday of April each year. Its purpose is to mark the importance of music in whole and especially indie music, as well as independent music stores that contribute to it a lot.

As a tradition, many bands in Britain release special singles to mark Record Store Day.
