Noel Gallagher and Snoop Dogg appeared in the new FIFA World Cup advert

Former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher and Snoop Dogg appeared in a new Adidas advert devoted to the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa. The video also features The Stone Roses’ Ian Brown, Ciara and Daft Punk, as well as David Beckham and famous German forward Franz Beckenbauer.

The video is based on one of the scenes from Star Wars Episode 4 movie, with all actors replaced by the musicians and football players. For example, it features Snoop Dogg wielding a light saber, as well as Noel Gallagher and Ian Brown sitting in an alien bar.

Noel Gallagher has recently joined the campaign to support England's bid for 2018 World Cup, recording an 18-second video to tell why FIFA should choose England to host the tournament. The same videos were recorded by Fatboy Slim, Inspiral Carpets' Clint Boon and a number of other British musicians.
