No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani revealed that the band has nearly finished its new studio effort – according to her words, they are about to complete last recording session. She also revealed that yet-untitled record would hit the stores in October.

According to Gwen Stefani, the album was recorded in collaboration with producer Mark Stent, who worked with Madonna, Depeche Mode, Muse and many others.

"It's so exciting to have a record coming out. And we all want the same thing: for it to be modern and catchy and addictive. Once you make music that connects with people, it's like you taste blood – you can't go back", said singer.

She added that the album would feature earlier unveiled songs One More Summer and Settle Down.

Earlier No Doubt's singer revealed that they were listening to the music from 1980's, and these tunes will have an impact on upcoming record.

"Pop songs, one-hit wonders, nifty songs, things like that. You just go back and find things that you love, and try to figure out how they made them. We just listen to good songs, and then writing our own stuff", said Gwen Stefani.

No Doubt's previous studio album Rock Steady hit the stores in 2001.
