Nirvana producer is displeased with modern record labels
Apr 04, 2012Garbage drummer Butch Vig – who is also known for his producing work with Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Green Day and others – said that he does not like current situation in music industry. He slammed record labels for not being interested in founding new bands and helping them to evolve.
Butch Vig also complained that record labels have not paid enough attention to Garbage: "We started out on independent labels both in the UK and in the US and then they ended up getting bought up by bigger corporate labels. In the end, no one from those labels seems to care or know who you are as a band".
Garbage are currently working on the new album Not Your Kind Of People. Their previous effort Bleed Like Me hit the stores in 2005.
