Nine Inch Nails to release new album in 2012

Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor claimed that the band will return to work on its next studio effort in early 2012. According to his words, the record is set to hit the stores next year.

Talking about situation with the band, Trent Reznor said: "Nine Inch Nails is not dead by any means, but all the touring and record writing has been thrown off for a little bit. I highly expect that to be the focus of 2012 in terms of writing and we may see a full-length release even".

Trent Reznor has recently finished the soundtrack for upcoming The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo movie by David Fincher. US version of the 2009's Swedish crime thriller tells about journalist and woman-hacker who lead an investigation against corrupt industrialist.

Nine Inch Nails released their last studio effort The Slip in 2008.
