New The Smashing Pumpkins album to be "epic"
May 05, 2012The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan revealed how he sees the band's new album Oceania. According to his words, it will be more "epic" and "emotional", than their previous efforts. He also described it as a record "where every song is just as valuable as any other".
"I've been adamant in stressing that, as a group, first and foremost, we are here to make new music together. We all have made significant contributions to the tone and texture of Oceania, which is an album that is unlike any I've ever made. Yet at the same time I believe it upholds the same musical values I've always pushed for with The Smashing Pumpkins, be they progressive, emotional, epic, or restless", said he.
Oceania was set to hit the stores last September, but its release has been moved to June.
