New Duran Duran music video banned on TV

Several US and European television networks have banned music video for new Duran Duran single Girl Panic. According to the reports by British press, it was labeled "too sexual".

Starring Naomi Campbell, the clip shows each member of Duran Duran being replaced with a supermodel.

A source close to Duran Duran told Gigwise website that the band is surprised with these news: "They are simply overreacting to this video, it's not like this is anything new in pop videos, which have always been controversial. Compared to some pop videos this is all rather tame. Four million viewers on YouTube have already seen the video anyway, it's a bit of light-hearted fun and escapism".

30 years ago another music video by Duran Duran – for the song Girls On Film – was also banned by TV companies.
