New Coldplay record to be a concept album

Coldplay revealed some information about their new studio effort Mylo Xyloto. According to drummer Will Champion, upcoming record is a concept album that tells about love destroying all borders and overcoming all circumstances.

Champion claimed that Mylo Xyloto is devoted to two characters who are struggling to save their love. "They fall in love and try to escape together, the songs following what happens. Charlie Brown is about running away while Paradise is about feeling lost. The ending is very powerful and about love conquering all", claimed he.

Champion also said that Coldplay have made and scrapped entire album before they recorded what has become Mylo Xyloto.

Coldplay official blog earlier revealed some information about two new songs by the band. Speaking about the first one, named Up In Flames, musician who runs it wrote: "It was hypnotic in its simplicity, but devastatingly, achingly gorgeous. The final version has lost none of this and is a masterwork of restraint".

He also stated that the second composition – DLIBYH – is "absolutely different".
