New Blink-182 album to be "diverse"

Blink-182 guitarist Tom DeLonge revealed what to expect from the band's upcoming studio effort Neighborhoods. According to his words, their new album will become very "diverse", because it has incorporated an influence of different music styles.

"There's a lot of new elements. We have these songs that are total throwbacks, exactly what people would know of what Blink-182 is. But then we have these songs that are madly different and experimental. And then we have songs that are like prog- rock", said he.

De longe added: "So I really think that we have a tremendous, diverse palette on this. And what's really cool too is because of the way it was recorded, all the songs sound so different from each other".

Earlier this month Blink-182 released first single from upcoming effort, titled Up All Night.

New record will be Blink-182's first album in seven years. Their last to date studio effort, named simply Blink-182, hit the stores in 2003.
