Nevermind cover banned from Facebook
Jul 07, 2011Facebook administration has banned the cover of Nirvana's classic album Nevermind. The image, which shows naked baby swimming underwater, has been uploaded to the official Nirvana page as a part of the promotion of Nevermind's 20th anniversary reissue. However, it was removed several hours later.
According to the official statement, the decision was based on a rule that says: "Facebook does not allow photos that attack an individual or group, or that contain nudity, drug use, violence or other violations of the Terms of Use".
Nevermind reissue is set to take place in the end of September. There will be Deluxe and Super Deluxe editions, both featuring a lot of additional tracks, as well as the reworked songs from original album. Super Deluxe edition will also include a DVD with Nirvana's 1991 Halloween gig in Seattle.
Nevermind was originally released in September 1991. It was sold over 30 million copies worldwide, making Nirvana world-famous band.
