My Chemical Romance recorded new album after

My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way revealed that the band has finished work on the new album. According to his words, yet-untitled record will be more "intense and upbeat", than their previous studio efforts.

"People just wanna rock. I don't know that people want to make statements right now. I can't comment on anybody else's record but I certainly feel something in the air, like, people just want the truth and they don't need a big story", said he.

Gerard Way also claimed that the recording was done after "second attempt". "We finished the album so we're excited about that. It's the second attempt at the album and we're really happy with it", said he.

Earlier Gerard Way the band drew inspiration for the album from Judas Priest, as well as from Blade Runner movie and old sport cars.

Previous album by My Chemical Romance, titled The Black Parade, hit the stores in 2006.
