My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way revealed that he and his bandmates considered their upcoming album Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys to be their "last shot" – and that is why last December they decided to scrap nearly finished effort and start recording from scratch.

"We didn’t realize we were doing it until we were four songs in, but it was still super scary, but it happened naturally. It wasn’t like we were sitting there or anybody was saying to us: "Oh you’ve got to do it over". It just kind of started to happen", said he.

Gerard Way added that it was recently released single Na Na Na which showed them the direction to move.

Earlier Gerard Way revealed that the recording of the Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys was "most difficult" in its history. According to his words, they worked hard in hope to repeat the success of their previous record The Black Parade.

However, according to Gerard Way, My Chemical Romance managed to overcome their problems. "The spirit is back. It took a little while to figure out who and what the band is and re-embrace that, as opposed to turn our back on it", claimed singer.
