My Chemical Romance may release new album next summer

My Chemical Romance revealed plans for the nearest future. According to the band's guitarist Frank Iero, they will work on the new material until the end of the year. Iero added that they may release an album next summer – if they find "right direction to go".

"Whether it be writing a new My Chemical Romance record or working on a different kind of project, there are a couple of things coming in the works. But I definitely see new music coming out or at least being worked on throughout the rest of this year and hopefully maybe something coming out by summer", claimed Iero.

Recently My Chemical Romance spoke about the work on their last studio effort Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys. Before the band released the album, they nearly finished and then scrapped another record to start everything from scratch.

According to My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, they wanted new album to become their "high mission", and the first attempt was not good enough.

"We didn't realize after 2006 album Welcome To The Black Parade there was going to be anything else. We could have just made a generic My Chemical Romance album, but we needed a new high mission", said he.
