My Chemical Romance described their last album as "high mission"

My Chemical Romance spoke about the work on their last studio effort Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys. Before the band released the album, they nearly finished and then scrapped another record to start everything from scratch.

According to My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, they wanted new album to become their "high mission", and the first attempt was not good enough.

"We didn't realize after 2006 album Welcome To The Black Parade there was going to be anything else. We could have just made a generic My Chemical Romance album, but we needed a new high mission", said he.

Earlier My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero said that scrapped album may be released at last – but only after the band will split-up.

"I did have this idea when we were making the record. I said: "I have this great idea that we should record two records and release one and put the other away in the vault so when the band breaks up so it would be the last My Chemical Romance record ever". It would be nice for some of the lost songs to see the light of day", claimed he.
