MTV Europe Music Awards 2007 was carried out

MTV Europe Music Awards was carried out in Munich, Germany. Justin Timberlake, who dominated the event in 2006 and was the most nominated artist in 2007, went away empty-handed, while Avril Lavigne won two awards – Most Addictive Track for her song Girlfriend and the coveted Solo Artist.

Avril surpassed such rivals as Christina Aguilera, Mika, Nelly Furtado and Amy Winehouse. Such bands as Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy, Tokio Hotel and My Chemical Romance were fighting for the Best Group award, but it was taken by the veterans from Linkin Park. And the Best Album award was won by Nelly Furtado and her disk Loose.

30 Seconds to Mars triumphed in the Rock Out category, The Video Star prize went to French band Justice for the video clip D.A.N.C.E., and Amy Winehouse collected the Artists' Choice award. The event was hosted by U.S. rapper Snoop Dogg.
