Movie about last days of Michael Jackson sets record salesThis Is It DVD has sold 1.2 million copies in its first week in the US. The film about last days of Michael Jackson has become the biggest selling documentary movie in America. It has topped last week’s movie sales chart, beating such blockbusters as Hangover and Surrogates.

This Is It also got the first place in the Blu-Ray sales chart. It has reached 21% of all week’s sales for the new format. Blu-Ray edition features additional material, including uncut versions of two Michael Jackson’s music videos – Thriller and Smooth Criminal.

This Is It movie is based on rehearsal footage for Michael Jackson's London concerts. It features digital sound and sequences filmed in 3D. It also includes several videos that were created to be broadcasted during Michael Jackson’s concerts in London. One of these movies is an alternative version of Thriller presented in 3D format. This Is It also features interviews with Michael Jackson’s friends and collaborators.

Michael Jackson has died from a heart attack on June 25, just two weeks before he was set to play the first concert.
