Mick Jagger likes working with his new band

Mick Jagger spoke about the work with his recently formed band SuperHeavy. According to the singer, he finds it much easier and more fun than being The Rolling Stones singer – just because he is not a frontman and does not have to worry about a lot of things.

Apart from Mick Jagger, SuperHeavy features Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, English soul singer Joss Stone and Damian Marley, son of legendary reggae singer Bob Marley.

"That's one of the things Dave Stewart sold me on in the beginning. "You know, it won't be so hard for you, because you won't have to do everything all the time", and I said: "Yeah, right". Now, I cannot disagree with him", said Mick Jagger.

He added: "But of course, you're present the whole time. When I wasn't singing I was playing the guitar, and when I wasn't playing the guitar, I was playing harmonica, and when I wasn't doing any of that, I was producing, and when wasn't doing that, I was making the tea".

This week SuperHeavy will release eponymous album. According to Jagger, the whole album has become an improvisation. "It has begun with ideas, a few guitar riffs and a few snippets of lyrics. It's not my usual sort of way of working. You always want to leave some room for improvisation, but you need to have something, some songs, when you walk into the studio", claimed he.
