Michael Jackson’s song will turn into musical

Producer James Nederlander confirmed rumors that he would stage a musical based on Michael Jackson’s album Thriller and music video for its title song. Upcoming play will also feature songs from another Michael Jackson’s album Off The Wall.

«I love the idea of making Thriller a musical. Girl meets boy, they fall in love, boy has big secret», said Nederlander. Musical will be premiered on Broadway in New York.

The 14-minute music video for Thriller was filmed in 1983 and cost $500,000. Album became the worldwide best-selling record of all time and won seven Grammy Awards in 1984.
