Michael Jackson's death officially named a homicide

Aug 08, 2009
Los Angeles police has officially ruled out that Michael Jackson's death was a homicide. The results of autopsy showed that singer’s body had lethal levels of the Propofol (also called Dirpivan, is a medicine used to help induce a patient into unconsciousness before surgery). The investigation believes that Michael Jackson’s physician Dr. Conrad Murray is responsible for this.

The coroner’s report says: «The cause of death was established as acute Propofol intoxication. The manner of death has been ruled: homicide». However, the term «homicide» in US also includes manslaughter.

Several weeks ago Michael Jackson's doctor admitted that he has given Jackson a powerful drug two hours before his death. Dr Conrad Murray told police that he injected singer with a huge dose of sedative Propofol that resulted in cardiac arrest.

«He didn't prescribe or administer anything that should have killed Michael Jackson», claimed Murray’s lawyer.

Michael Jackson has died from a heart attack on June 25. The funeral was delayed until the results of toxicology tests were ready.
