Michael Jackson will appear at the MTV Video Music Awards 2009

Sony Pictures announced the premiere of the first trailer for upcoming movie based on rehearsal footage for Michael Jackson's London concerts. It will be shown this Sunday, September 13, at the MTV Video Music Awards 2009 ceremony.

The trailer, as well as the movie itself, will be based on behind-the-scenes footage from Jackson’s rehearsals for the series of London concerts, including final rehearsal which happened two days before the singer’s death.

Titled This Is It, the film will feature digital sound and sequences filmed in 3D. It will also include several videos that were created to be broadcasted during Michael Jackson’s concerts in London. One of these movies is an alternative version of Thriller presented in 3D format.

This Is It will also feature interviews with Michael Jackson’s friends and collaborators.

The movie is set to be premiered in October. The soundtrack for the movie will be released later as an album.
