Michael Jackson nominated for American Music Awards

Michael Jackson was posthumously nominated for five American Music Awards, including the main Artist Of The Year category, which also features Kings Of Leon, Taylor Swift, Lady GaGa and Eminem.

Jackson is also nominated in Favourite Pop/Rock Male Artist, Favourite Pop/Rock Album, Favourite Soul/R&B Album (for Number Ones albums) and Favourite Soul/R&B Artist categories.

The awards ceremony will take place on November 22. Winners will be chosen by open fan’s voting at the American Music Awards official website.

During this October Michael Jackson was already honored with posthumous lifetime achievement award at the MOBO Awards ceremony. Singer’s brother Jermaine and sister LaToya received an honor for him.

Michael Jackson’s last album of original material – Invincible – hit the stores in 2001. This month, compilation album This Is It is set to be released. It will feature Michael Jackson’s old hits, as well as different remixes and the recording of his poem Planet Earth.
