Metric spoke about Lou Reed collaboration

Metric revealed details about their work with Lou Reed. The Velvet Underground man is featured on the track The Wanderlust from their upcoming album Synthetica. According to the band's singer Emily Haines, Reed cited lyrics from one of their songs when they first met them.

"We met him at this Neil Young tribute, I got introduced to him and I'd assumed he wouldn't know who I was, but when we met he quoted some of my lyrics from Gimme Sympathy so that was amazing. Then he invited me to Australia for this show and we did a couple of songs together. One of them is The Wanderlust", said Emily Haines.

According to Metric guitarist Jimmy Shaw – who produced the album – Synthetica is a "superb combination" of their old sound and "something new".
