Metallica will film 3D action movie
Mar 03, 2012Metallica confirmed reports that they are set to make their own movie. According to the official statement on the band's web site, it will be 3D action film. The work on it will start this summer, while premiere is set to take place next year.
Upcoming movie will be directed by Hungarian filmmaker Nimrod Antal, who is known for the 2010's blockbuster Predators. Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich said that he is a fan of Antal's debut comedy-thriller movie Kontroll, showed up at Cannes in 2004.
"Within five minutes of meeting him I was addicted to his enthusiasm, his take on the creative process and his "thinking outside the box" personality. Let's get on with it!" said Lars Ulrich.
Recently Metallica have posted two new songs online, titled Hate Train and Just A Bullet Away. Both tracks were recorded during the work on the band's last to date album Death Magnetic, but were not included in final tracklisting.
