Metallica revealed that they would go on a world tour next year. The band plans to perform 10 huge concerts around the world. According to Metallica’s manager Peter Mensch, Lars Ulrich and his bandmates want to overcome Pink Floyd's famous The Wall world tour.

«Let's just say that next year you will see a Metallica tour that will blow your mind. They will only play in 10 cities but it will be a huge undertaking. It will be Metallica's equivalent of The Wall», said Peter Mensch.

According to his words, Metallica members are currently considering the list of cities for the tour.

Pink Floyd played The Wall tour in 1980-1981 in support of the eponymous album. All in all they performed 31 shows in 17 months.

Metallica released their last to date album Death Magnetic in 2008.
