Massive Attack advertisement banned from London underground
Feb 02, 2010London Underground wants Massive Attack’s to censor the adverts of their new album Heligoland. Posters repeat the artwork for the recently released record. According to the officials, it looks too much like graffiti which is unacceptable for London Underground.
The band’s frontman Robert Del Naja said: «They won’t allow anything on the Tube that looks like street art. They want us to remove all drips and fuzz. It’s the most absurd censorship I’ve ever seen».
Earlier Massive Attack claimed that they were considering plans to produce another record very soon. According to Robert Del Naja, it will feature tracks written for it, but not included in the final tracklist.
Singer added that one of the tracks for the second album would be the song Red Light, which the band has written for Elbow's Guy Garvey.
Guy Garvey is featured on Heligoland, as well as Blur’s Damon Albarn, TV On The Radio and several other artists.
