Mary J. Blige to make a sequel to one of her albums

Mary J. Blige revealed details about her next studio effort. Titled My Life 2: The Journey Continues, it is set to hit the stores in October. According to the singer, the record will become some sort of the "sequel" to her second album My Life, released in 1994.

"It's called The Journey Continues because on the first My Life album, we all just were depressed and wanted to die. This one, we want to live, and we understand with living, life still comes with challenges and triumphs and good times and bad times", said Mary J. Blige.

According to the singer, My Life 2: The Journey Continues will include collaborations with Swizz Beats, Kanye West and a number of other famous artists.

Mary J. Blige also claimed that the album would feature different songs. "There's ballads, there's midtempos, uptempos. There's love songs, there's pain songs. There's all kinda stuff! This one is definitely what people are looking for from me, and I'm digging and I'm reaching in deep to give them what they need", said she.

Mary J. Blige released her last to date album Stronger With Each Tear in 2009.
