Manic Street Preachers made a protest against puting albums in the Net

Dec 12, 2007
Manic Street Preachers made a protest against puting albums in the Net and allowing fans to choose how much to pay for them. It was started by Radiohead and their album In Rainbows, while many musicians said they were going to do the same.

But Manic Street Preachers think that «Radiohead demean music». «It's worrying and it seems to be the way of the world at the moment. Sales are doing well everywhere else. Cinema is doing well, video games are doing well, but music isn't. The free download phenomenon is ruining the industry», said the band’s bassist Nicky Wire.
