Manic Street Preachers are going to make a break

Manic Street Preachers bassist Nicky Wire revealed that the band will go on a hiatus this year. According to his words, it will happen after the release of their best hits compilation National Treasures – The Complete Singles that is set to hit the stores in October.

Nicky Wire claimed he could not tell how long the break will last – however, he promised that Manic Street Preachers will come together someday again.

"It's the end of an era, not the end of the band but we're going to disappear for quite a long time", said he.

Manic Street Preachers released their last to date album Postcards From A Young Man in 2010.
