Madonna has overcome Elvis Presley

Madonna's new studio effort MDNA has topped UK albums sales chart. It is the twelfth record that has managed to top the list. Singer – who was previously equal with Elvis Presley – now possesses the best result for solo artist (while the record in whole belongs to The Beatles with 17 UK Number One albums).

The second place in this week's chart was occupied by David Guetta with Nothing But The Beat, Emeli Sande is third with Our Version Of Events.

Recently Madonna revealed plans to start the work on the next studio effort as soon as possible. She made this announcement through her Facebook account, adding that she was looking for "maddest, sickest" persons to collaborate with them on the record.

"It's official! I need to move. I need to sweat. I need to make new music! Music I can dance to. I'm on the look out for the maddest, sickest, most badass people to collaborate with", she wrote on her account.
