Machine Head spoke about new album

Machine Head revealed some new details about their next studio effort. The album, that is set to hit the stores in September, will be titled Unto The Locust. It was recorded with the involvement of Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong in his own studio.

All in all album will feature seven tracks, each one of them is longer than six minutes. Moreover, the first song I Am Hell is actually four compositions combined.

The band's drummer Dave McClain, who described upcoming effort as "super killer".

Talking about the work on upcoming album, he said: "We had some time off and we started itching to get back in and start writing just whatever was flowing out. And it's killer, man. It's super-exciting".

Machine Head's previous studio effort, named The Blackening, hit the stores in 2007.
