Linkin Park collaborated with Arcade Fire man

Linkin Park revealed that one of the tracks from their new album Living Things was recorded in collaboration with former Arcade Fire guitarist Owen Pallett. Owen – who also worked as a session musician with such acts as Last Shadow Puppets, Beirut, Snow Patrol, Duran Duran and R.E.M – have contributed strings to the track I'll Be Gone.

Talking about the work with Pallett, Linkin Park frontman Mike Shinoda said: "He worked on one song. We tried a second one, but he got busy with something else, so I actually ended up doing the strings on my own. I really love what he did with the song and what he did with Arcade Fire is just sensational".

Living Things is set to hit the stores in June. The record was produced by Rick Rubin, who is famous for the work with Black Sabbath, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, AC/DC, Aerosmith and many others.

According to Mike Shinoda, Living Things will feature sound similar to Linkin Park early records. "The record gets back to our roots and it's captured a feeling that we haven't gone after in many years", claimed he.
